There are several ways to submit a new vacation request:
Submit vacation via the calendar
Employee users sign in to Timebutler and click “Absences > Calendar view” on the left. Then click the first day when the vacation request should start, and then click the day when it should end. A small selection window opens. Click “Vacation request” in it. This opens the entry form where you can edit and save the vacation request.
Supervisors and admins sign in to Timebutler and click “Employees > Absences > Calendar view” at the top left. Then, in the row of the desired employee, click the first day when the vacation request should start, and then click the day when it should end. A small selection window opens. Click “Vacation request” in it. This opens the entry form where you can edit and save the vacation request.
Enter vacation via the entry form
Employee users sign in to Timebutler and click “Vacation > Enter vacation” on the left. This opens the entry form for the vacation request.
Supervisors and admins sign in to Timebutler and click “Employees > Requests > Enter vacation” at the top left. This opens the entry form for the vacation request.
More options
You can also enter vacation requests as a recurring entry, for example if you want to take vacation every Friday over the next two months.
Admins can also submit a vacation request for all or many employees as a bulk request.
You can also import vacation requests and absences via bulk import. This is particularly useful at the beginning when switching to Timebutler.
