Cancellation periods

Depending on the selected payment method, the following cancellation periods apply:

Cancellation period for direct debit

If you set up direct debit, you can choose the number of months for the billing period (1, 3, 6, or 12 months). You can then cancel at any time at the end of the current billing period without giving a reason. After that, we will not collect any further direct debits.

Example 1:
You have set up a direct debit with a 1-month billing period. You can now cancel at any time at the end of the month. We will still process the direct debit for the current month. After that, we will not collect any further direct debits.

Example 2:
You have set up a direct debit with a 6-month billing period. In the first month, we collect the direct debit for the 6 months. In the fifth month, you cancel the direct debit. You can then continue to use Timebutler for the remaining two months of the billing period, and we will not collect any further direct debits.

You can cancel at any time online in your user account with just a few clicks. Read here how to [cancel the direct debit(/contract-and-prices/cancellation/canceling/).

Cancellation for other payment methods

If you choose a payment method other than direct debit, such as invoice, PayPal, or credit card, you purchase a fixed period for using the software, for example 3, 6, or 12 months.

This is a one-time extension and not a subscription. If you do not purchase another extension after this usage period ends, you will not incur any further costs.

In this case, you do not need to cancel, and you cannot cancel. However, note that we cannot refund partially unused periods. For example, if you purchase a 6-month extension and stop using the software after 5 months, we will not refund the one unused month.
