Import users with different working time models

If you want to create a large number of user accounts in Timebutler, the [bulk import of user accounts(/getting-started/first-steps-for-admins/create-user-accounts/) via Excel file upload is a good option so you don’t have to enter each user account individually.

Employees often have different working time models, for example “Monday to Friday 8h” or “Monday to Thursday 8.5 h, Friday 6 h” or also “Monday and Wednesday and Thursday 6 h”. To import user accounts with different working time models, proceed as follows:

1) Set the working time model

When you bulk import user accounts via the Excel file upload, Timebutler uses the working time model defined in the [default settings for new users(/set-up/more-settings/default-settings-for-new-users/). So first set the desired working time model in the default settings.

2) Import employees with the set working time model

Now perform the [bulk import of those user accounts(/getting-started/first-steps-for-admins/create-user-accounts/) for which the working time model you set in step 1) applies.

3) Repeat for other working time models

Now repeat steps 1) and 2) for employees with a different working time model.
