Supervisors often have trust-based working hours and, unlike employees, do not record working time. However, supervisors must be able to view and edit their employees’ working time and working time accounts. You can disable time tracking for these supervisors.
Even if time tracking is disabled for supervisors, supervisors can still view the working time entries and working time accounts of the employees they have permission to view.
To disable time tracking for supervisors, sign in to Timebutler as an admin and click “Employees” at the top left, then click “Overview” below the small “Employees”. Click the green icon with the pencil (=Edit) in the row of the desired user account. At the top, for the “Time tracking active?” option, select “Time tracking is hidden for this user.” Save the change by clicking the blue “Save” button at the very bottom of the page.
