Break policies ensure that your employees record working times in line with minimum break requirements. Select a break policy and Timebutler ensures that minimum breaks are met and the maximum working time per calendar day is not exceeded.
Set a break policy for all employees
Sign in to Timebutler as an admin and click “Settings > More..” at the bottom left, then “Time tracking” on the right. Under the “Break policy” option, select the policy that suits you. Click the blue “Save” button at the bottom.
Set a different break policy for individual employees
In addition to the global break policy above, you can set a different break policy for individual employees or disable it. Learn here how to assign a break policy to an employee individually.
Set a different break policy for multiple employees
If you want to change the break policy for multiple employees, changing it in each individual user account would be time-consuming. Instead, you can update many employees at once with the bulk change of working time models.
Create your own break policy
Timebutler already includes statutory break policies for various countries. If your company needs different break policies, you can create your own break policy.
Choice for the break policy
You can define whether applying break policies is mandatory, or whether employees should have a choice on whether to apply the break policy or not.
