Administrators

As an administrator, you have the same permissions as supervisors, but you can also make settings that affect all users in Timebutler and that no other user may edit. You always have viewing, editing, and approval permissions for all users, all entries, all vacation balances, working time balances, master data, and all other data in Timebutler.

Many settings can only be changed by admins, for example assigning employees to supervisors, vacation blackout periods, Holiday sets, changing permissions for other user accounts, absence types and their extra fields, Global settings, and much more.

You still have your own vacation balance as well as an overtime or working time balance. You are assigned a supervisor who approves your vacation requests. Employees can also be assigned to you, making you their supervisor.

Typically, employees in the HR department and management receive admin rights. In a company with 230 employees, for example, organizations usually create 3–5 administrator accounts, 10–20 supervisors, and 200 employee user accounts.

Because many settings and changes can only be made by admins, you should always have more than one administrator. You can create as many administrators as you need.
