Administrators

Administrators share the same characteristics as supervisors but can also make certain settings that affect all users in Timebutler and that no other user may edit. They always have viewing, editing, and approval permissions for all users, all entries, all vacation accounts, working time accounts, master data, and other data in Timebutler.

Only administrators can change many settings, such as assigning employees to supervisors, time-off blackout periods, public holidays, changing permissions for other user accounts, absence types and their custom fields, global settings, and much more.

Administrators still have their own vacation account, overtime account, or working time account. Each administrator also has an assigned supervisor who approves the administrator’s leave requests. You can also assign employees to an administrator, making them the supervisor for those employees.

Typically, HR staff and managing directors receive admin rights. In a company with, for example, 230 employees, organizations usually create 3–5 administrator accounts, 10–20 supervisors, and 200 employee user accounts.

Because only administrators can make many settings and changes, you should always have more than one administrator. You can create as many administrators as you need.
