If you forget to clock your working time and only notice the next day or later, you have the following options:
1) Enter the time via the entry form
If the admin allows employees or managers to enter time entries via the entry form, you can enter the working time.
If the admin does not allow employees or managers to enter time entries via the entry form, you have the following two options.
2) Create an entry via the time clock
1. Create a time entry Start the time clock and stop it again after one minute (time entries must contain at least 1 minute, otherwise they cannot be saved). This creates a 1-minute time entry.
2. Make the change
In the time clock window, you see the Go to list view link. Click it to go to the list view of time entries. The new 1-minute entry appears at the top of the list. For that entry, click the green pencil button (= Edit). Now set the desired date, for example the previous day, and the desired start and end time. In the note field, you can enter “Added afterwards, forgot to clock yesterday” if needed.
3. Approve the change The time tracking settings determine whether changes to a time entry take effect immediately or must be approved by your manager. If the change requires approval, we inform your manager by email. They can approve or reject the change with one click.
This creates the time entry for the desired day with the desired start and end times.
3) Inform your manager or admin
You inform your manager or the admin about the missing time entry. That person can enter the working time for you.
