FAQ: Problems logging in

Problems signing in

If you get an error message when signing in to your Timebutler account with your username and password, the following reasons could be the cause.

Correct password, wrong username

People often enter the correct password but the wrong username. Make sure you enter both the correct email address and your current password when signing in.

Wrong email address

Do you have multiple email addresses? You may have entered the wrong email address in the username field. Enter the email address associated with your Timebutler account.

Show password

When you enter your password on the sign-in page, your input is hidden and replaced with asterisks. To check for typos, click the eye icon directly above the password field — this will show the password as you type it.

Forgot password

You entered your username and password correctly but still see an error saying the sign-in details are incorrect? Or you have forgotten your password? Read here how to reset your password.

Password reset email doesn’t arrive

Timebutler sends the password reset email to the address you specified. Please wait a few minutes for it to arrive and also check your spam and promotions folders. If the email still does not arrive, please contact our support.

Problems signing in with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you have enabled Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), after signing in with your username and password you will also be asked for the 2FA access code. Read here how to resolve sign-in issues with 2FA.
