Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), sign in to your Timebutler user account and click Settings in the bottom left, then Security beneath it. Now click the Disable 2FA button (this button only appears if 2FA has previously been enabled).

For security purposes, you will be asked to enter the 2FA access code from the authenticator app you used to set up 2FA.

No access to the authenticator app?

If you no longer have access to the authenticator app, you cannot disable 2FA using the method described above. Instead, proceed as follows:

The next time you sign in to your Timebutler user account, you will be prompted for the 2FA access code. On that page, there is a button to send a request to disable 2FA. Click this button so that one of your admins or your manager can disable 2FA on your behalf.
