Direct debit schedule

If you choose SEPA direct debit as the payment method when ordering the subscription extension, the usage period renews automatically, we automatically debit the amounts from your bank account, and we automatically provide the invoice ([to download(/contract-and-prices/invoice/download-invoice/) or [sent automatically by email(/contract-and-prices/invoice/have-invoices-sent-automatically/)).

Direct debit date

When you select SEPA direct debit, you can also choose how many debits take place per year. You can choose between 12 debits (monthly), 4 debits (every 3 months), 2 debits (every 6 months), or 1 debit (12 months). We always perform the direct debit in the first month of your payment interval on the 26th of the month. On weekends/holidays, we move the date to the next banking day.

If you choose monthly payment, we debit the amount by direct debit on the 26th of each month.

If you set 6 months, we debit on the 26th of the first month in the 6-month period. Example: If the current debit period runs from March to August, we debit the amount for this 6-month period on March 26.

First direct debit differs

If you activate direct debit and your usage period does not happen to end on the last day of the month (that will usually be the case), we will not debit the configured number of months with the first direct debit, but will first only debit the partial amount for the remainder of the current month. Only from the next month will we debit the configured number of months. This way, starting with the second direct debit, we can always settle whole calendar months.

Example:
Your usage period ends on 19/6. On 6/6 you activate SEPA direct debit with the selection of 2 debits per year, every 6 months. The first direct debit therefore takes place on 26/6. We will then not debit 6 months, but only the remaining period for June, i.e., the 10 days from 20/6 to 30/6. Only with the next direct debit in July, on 26/7, will we then debit 6 months.
