You can restrict entry of work time records via the [entry form(/time-tracking/enter-working-hours/enter-working-hours-entry-form/) for employees, so they can only record time using the time clock in their user account or at the [time tracking terminal(/time-tracking/time-clock-terminal/time-tracking-terminal-on-a-tablet/).
You can also require approval for changes to work time entries, or restrict when entries can be made, for example with [Start no earlier than a specific time(/time-tracking/settings/earliest-start-time-in-time-tracking/), or restrict entering time in the past. You can also specify that certain employees [only start the time clock at the time tracking terminal(/time-tracking/time-clock-terminal/allow-only-the-time-tracking-terminal/) (and, if desired, only stop it there as well).
