Absence entries Recurring entries

For vacation and other types of absences, a recurring entry can be created. For example, if you plan to work from home every Tuesday and Thursday over the next two months, you don’t need to create 16 individual home office entries. Instead, you can create a single recurring entry.

Create recurring entry

To enter a recurring entry for an absence, sign in to Timebutler and open the entry form for a new absence entry (read here how to get to the entry form for Enter an absence entry.) In the entry form, activate the option “Create recurring entry”. The form now shows additional options for creating the recurring entry.

Delete recurring entries

Employee users and supervisors are given the option to undo (delete) the recurring entries immediately after they are created. If this option is not selected, the recurring entries can no longer be deleted as a whole; instead, each entry in the series must be deleted individually.

Admins can use the Undo actions option to delete entire series they have created themselves with a single click. This option is only available for a limited period of time after the recurring entries have been created. After that, even admins can only delete each entry in the series individually.
