Overtime balance as of the cut-off date

In the “Overtime balance as of the cut-off date” view, you can display how much working time was performed in a specific period. In the “Overtime status as of the cut-off date” view, you can display employees’ overtime status for any date. It also includes all historical data and the capping of overtime, rounding, setup times, and other reductions. You should read the working time account from left to right: almost all figures in the working time account result from adding or subtracting the numbers in the respective columns from left to right. In detail:

Column in the working time account

Meaning

User

Employee’s name. Click the icon to go to the [calendar view of time entries(/time-tracking/calendar-view/open-the-calendar-view-of-working-time-entries/).

Target working time

The employee’s total target working time in the selected period. It equals the sum of all [target working times(/time-tracking/working-time-models/target-working-hours/) for the calendar days in the period.

Public holidays

The total number of hours on public holidays in the selected period. It equals the sum of all target working times on all days that are set as a public holiday for the employee.

Vacation

The total number of vacation hours in the selected period. It equals the sum of all target working times on all days on which the employee recorded (and had approved) vacation.

Sick leave

The total number of sick leave hours in the selected period. It equals the sum of all target working times on all days on which the employee recorded sick leave.

Other absences

The total number of hours for other absences in the selected period that are configured to [reduce the target working time(/frequently-asked-questions/time-tracking/absences-reduce-target-working-time/). It equals the sum of all target working times on all days on which the employee recorded one of the absences.

Adjusted target working time

The actual target working time. The value equals the “Target working time” column minus “Public holidays,” “Vacation,” “Sick leave,” and “Other absences.”

Working time incl. setup time1

The actual working time performed. The value equals the sum of all time entries of the employee in the period. It does not yet include deductions due to setup times or rounding.

Deduction for setup times1

The total time deducted due to the [setup time setting(/time-tracking/working-time-models/setup-times/).

Rounding to target working time1

The total time that is deducted or added due to the [working time rounding setting(/time-tracking/working-time-models/rounding-working-hours/).

Time worked

The actual time worked after deducting any rounding and setup times. The value equals the sum of all time entries of the employee in the period. If setup times or rounding of working time are enabled, the deductions are included in this column.

Balance before deduction of compensated overtime1

Number of overtime or minus hours in the period before deducting compensated overtime. Result of the “Time worked” column minus “Adjusted target working time.”

Deduction of compensated overtime1

Number of hours that are deducted due to the [overtime capping(/time-tracking/working-time-models/capping-overtime/) setting.

Balance

The number of hours and minutes that were worked too much or too little in the period, after deducting compensated overtime. Result of the “Balance before deduction of compensated overtime” column minus “Deduction of compensated overtime.”

Balance from previous year

Overtime balance as of January 1 of the year, carried over from the overtime balance on December 31 of the previous year (the numbers don’t match? Paid overtime

Number of [paid overtime hours(/time-tracking/working-time-account/paid-overtime-time-tracking/) in the period.

Overtime balance on dd.mm.yyyy

The employee’s overtime balance on the selected date (including all historical data, capped overtime, rounding, setup times, and other reductions)
