Email copies to HR or other recipients

Timebutler sends email notifications to managers and employees on various occasions during absence management. For example, a manager is notified when an employee submits a vacation request or enters an absence entry that requires approval.

You can configure Timebutler to also notify HR or other email recipients. To do this, sign in to Timebutler as an admin, click Settings > More… at the bottom left, then click Copy of absence request emails on the right. Enter the desired recipient email addresses here.

You can also restrict notifications to employees in specific departments or locations, and specify that copies are only sent for certain absence types — for example, only for vacation and sick reports.

The recipient will first receive an email with a confirmation link to opt in to receiving the notification emails. Sending is only activated after they confirm.

Note: Email notifications are only sent for absence entries that require approval. It is therefore not possible to notify recipients about absences that do not require approval. There is one exception: you can enable notification for sickness entries.
