In the [time tracking settings(/time-tracking/settings/time-tracking-settings/) you can choose which display format working times should be output in:
- In industrial minutes format, for example “5.75 h”
- In h m format, for example “5 h 45 m”
You can download time entries and time accounts as an Excel file with a single click. In the Excel file, we always show the times in industrial minutes format (5.75 h), regardless of the setting above.
The reason is that Excel cannot calculate correctly with the 5 h 45 m format, unlike the industrial minutes format.
Excel cannot calculate an entry like 6 h 49 m + 7 h 37 m - and it’s also harder for a person to calculate - unlike the sum in industrial minutes format. Because the download to Excel is typically used for further processing and calculation of working times, we always provide the times in Excel in industrial minutes.
