A detailed edit history is recorded for every time entry. This makes it possible to determine after the fact who entered or edited the entry, or by whom the time entry was deleted.
The edit history also provides information about how the time entry was recorded, as follows:
Via the entry form
If the edit history states “Entered via the entry form by […]”, the time entry was entered via the entry form.
Recorded via the time clock
The following overview shows how a time entry was recorded according to the information in the edit history:
Applicable to entries in the edit history up to 21 July 2023:
“Recorded by”: Recording via the time clock in the user account, the time tracking terminal, automatically started/stopped, or via the API. A distinction between the exact input method is not possible.
Applicable to entries in the edit history from 22 July 2023 onwards:
- “Started/stopped with the time clock in the user account”: Recording via the time clock in the user account
- “Started/stopped in the time tracking terminal”: Recording via the time tracking terminal
